ULTRASOUND SERVICES

Dr. Theodore Tsaltas has extensive training in gynecological and obstetrical ultrasound, having performed more than 15,000 such procedures. A very full range of ultrasound services is available.

Gynecologically, these include vaginal sonographic pain mapping, ovarian cyst evaluation and ovarian cancer risk assessment, evaluation of fibroids, 3D cavitary reconstruction and sonohysterography. Ovarian mass Doppler flow studies are performed.

Obstetric services include viability determination, 1st trimester anomaly screening, dating scans, 2^nd trimester anatomy scans, 2^nd trimester anomaly assessment, growth evaluation, amniotic fluid determinations and biometric testing. Doppler studies of the umbilical cord and fetal brain are also done.

3D and 4D scanning are done when medically appropriate. Please note: We do not perform ‘souvenir’ 3D fetal scans for cash, although on occasion a good 3D image can be obtained in the course of other scanning services.

Care does not stop with physical complaints, but includes consideration for emotional needs and well-being, and the unique emotional needs of childbearing and gynecological care.
